Philanthropy
My Favorite Type of Philanthropy involves food and drink. Shocker, right?
We also host a private, blind, wine or spirits tasting party at least once a year where we not only have a lot of food, wine and drink but we collect food for the food bank. The guest that brings the most weight in food win a fabulous gift!
All donations are delivered to Twin Lakes Food Bank (they do WAY more than just provide food, check out their page) and items are distributed directly to families here in Folsom.
I also try to make time to volunteer whenever possible. I enjoy hopping on any meal train and love to help heal people with home cooking. It fills my heart with joy to know that the people I cook for are enjoying a good, tasty, home-cooked meal. People that are going through Cancer treatments, deaths, hard-times of any kind, deserve to not have to worry about shopping and cooking a meal so they can rest and heal.
Charities
In typical squirrel fashion, I am all over the place with supporting charities. I wish I could help them all! Here are some of my favorite charities. There are so many! We donate to multiple organizations throughout the year. It could be a story we saw somewhere, a GoFundMe campaign or anything that tugs at our heartstrings.
National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation
Blue Star Moms We support all branches of our military!
And many more!
